Hi, I’m Sharon Hankins
– a furniture painter & restorer who loves to up-cycle and repurpose old neglected pieces and bring them back to life again.
My blog was created for thrifty DIYers and home renovators to encourage them to make transformations in their own homes, with educational tutorials, tips and inspirational makeovers.
As a mother of four young adults, and wife to a busy self-employed audio/video guy, life can be crazy at times, so painting furniture is a bit like therapy for me!
My blog began out of a love for taking things (mostly furniture) that have been left for ruins, bound for the dump, kicked to the curb – and giving them a new lease of life. There’s such great satisfaction in being able to bring something out of the storage shed, create a new look, and give it a place of honour in the home once again.
What about you?
You’ll be surprised what could be hiding in your house gathering dust, that could be given a completely new lease of life!
Join me as we learn together. There are such a variety of ways of making old things become new again!
