This old tool box (the one at the back of this image, and a smaller version) was found at a local market, so I took it home for some TLC and a little transformation.

Fusion Mineral Paint – Blue Pine

In my Youtube video below, I show you how I painted the tool box using Fusion Mineral Paint in the colour, Blue Pine. Blue Pine is a versatile blue-green with a grey tint, making it the perfect choice to make a bold statement on its own or as a neutral foundation within any room.

Stencils & Transfers

Both the stencils and the rub on transfers I used on this old tool box are from USA company that I’m an ambassador for – Essential Stencil. At the writing of this blog post, they are currently only shipping within the USA. So for all my USA followers – I know you will love their gorgeous collections.

For this project I used the Small Scrabble Tile Stencils and the Sunflower transfers. If you prefer to watch a real time video with a closer look at the letter placement and transfer application, I have the full version of the live replay HERE.

Old Tool Box Transforms to New Stencil Storage

Here are some closer pics of the final old tool box transformation into my new stencil storage tote! I think the weight of this when filled with stencils will probably be too much to carry, so I am trying to think of some kind of casters that might work on the base of it.

Oh, and that smaller old tool box …

Remember the first picture of the two old tool boxes I found at the market? Here’s what I did with the smaller one in the images below. And HERE is where you can watch a replay of the live I did showing you the stenciling I did on this one. As you can see by the two images, I did the Laundry stencil on one side, and then on the reverse side – Vintage Garden. This way, you could easily change up the decor in your home with a simple flip of the tool box.
