Sharon’s Design Collaboration with Essential Stencil
I’ve been an ambassador for the USA based stencil company, Essential Stencil for more than 5 years now, and I’ve done a few collaborations with them for their Stencil of the Month Club. But this is my first full design collaboration with them for their main site, and I’m excited to launch it this week with them.
The Timeless Home Collection features elegant stencils designed for effortlessly creating stylish home decor signs and furniture, no matter the season or holiday!
Faux Bone or Mother of Pearl Inlay
One of the looks I wanted to re-create in my Timeless Home Collection was a faux bone or mother of pearl inlay design. These are a timeless classic design that can work well in a variety of tones and colours to create a whole new look on a piece of furniture, or even a picture frame.
On this piece, which I will feature in a future blog post by itself, is a standard IKEA RAST, 3 drawer pine chest.
I painted the entire piece in Fusion’s Homestead Blue. Then used Fusion’s Casement white to stencil with.
To do the stenciling I used 2 of the sets from my collection:
- Bone inlay pattern stencil
- Decorative Border Stencil set
I placed them in a variety of ways on the drawer until I was happy with the design.
Repeat Trellis patterns Stencils
There are three different repeat pattern designs in this set within my Timeless Home collection.
Each stencil tile is 8″x8″ (20.3cm) and easily repeats by placing the stencil down again beside your first stenciled area, lining up the edge where you just stenciled.
These 3 designs are iconic looks from eras gone by, where vintage tiles were repeated patterns on floors.
