I love using French Graphics to update furniture and decor and my main “go to” place is Karen, from The Graphics Fairy. They have over 4,500 FREE Vintage graphic images to use. I have even been into my local Spotlight fabric store and seen some of Karen’s images on cushions they’re selling!
Here’s the ottoman I started with. I had already taken off the feet and removed all the staples before I took this pic. I was raring to go!
I basically laid out the old piece that came off the ottoman to use as a pattern guide. Then stitched them all together. This one included small elastic pieces at each corner to gather the corners together.
After fitting the fabric down the sides and stapling it underneath to the frame, I used the original under fabric lining to staple on the base as it was still in excellent condition.
I used the original feet and screwed them back in to the base and it was finished.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break with family and friends. Take time out to remember the true meaning behind the celebration – the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God’s son, who gave his life for the whole world – THAT’s a crazy kind of LOVE!
We’re heading to the Queensland town of Toowoomba this Easter for some family fun, volunteering for Easterfest, Australia’s biggest Christian Music and Arts festival. My husband has his video production gear set up there ready to stream events live all over the world, and to provide video feeds to the Mainstage big screen. Our boys will be involved operating cameras and one of our sons spent the last 6 months in between school and life, creating the official Easterfest app (free on the app store). The girls have various “crew” type runner jobs and I’ll be helping with the Social Media department to make sure we keep up the “tweets and posts” of all the exciting stuff to all the peeps!
I’ll be posting on Facebook or Instagram if you want to follow me over there.
Don’t forget, if you’d like to try Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paints you can order some on my Product page at the tab at the top of this page.
Have a great week.
Sharon.
