Artisan Metallics is a luscious paint, jam packed with micas to give unrivalled shimmer.
It requires no base coat* to give an opaque finish, and like all Artisan paints, finishes with a smooth brush free finish.
Artisan Metallics is self sealing so no topcoat is required.
Due to the incredible opacity, when used for detail work on furniture, only one coat is generally required.
*NOTE: When painting larger pieces, you may prefer to put a base coat of a similar colour on first.
Our suggestions for base coats would be as follows:
- Provencal (Chalk Finish) or Daffodil (Mineral Paint) under Gold,
- Normandy Stone or Cobblestone (Chalk Finish) or Ghost Gum (Mineral Paint) under Silver or Aged Pewter.
- Merlot (Chalk Finish) or Ruby Slippers (Mineral Paint) under Copper.
- Peony (Chalk Finish) or Pepperberry (Mineral Paint) under Rose Gold
- Mocha (Chalk Finish) or Stringy Bark (Mineral Paint) under Antique Bronze.
Artisan Metallics is available in 200ml jars and 50ml tester pots, in Gold, Silver, Copper, Rose Gold, Antique Bronze and Aged Pewter.
Like all our products, these metallics are eco friendly and VOC free.

Artisan Metallics in Copper is the perfect paint to add gleam and bling to your projects. Thick and luscious, Metallics glide on giving unsurpassed coverage and dries to a smooth self levelling finish. With amazing opacity and an inbuilt topcoat, Metallics is perfect for fine detail work as only one coat is required. Metallics can be used alone, or added to our range of topcoats and glazes for a myriad of looks. Try Copper Metallics with a wash of Duck Egg and St Tropez for a perfect Verdigris look!
