I love how they turned out! As you saw in the video process above, there’s a little trick to getting into the jute with it being such a dense textured material. But the results are good and we’ll be enjoying our Christmas dinner on these lovely designs this year!
I added a pop of red to the Candy Canes in this Christmas placemat. And you’ll notice the white used as a shadow behind the black, larger stencilled letters. I show you in the video above, how to create this shadow effect, so don’t miss that if you haven’t learned this fun technique yet. It can really make your stencils “pop”!
