A Tale of Two Tall Boys – Number One
Remember I had these two tall boys in my workshop last year, and I finished off the first one in blue (MMSMP Bergere to be exact) which you can read about HERE.

Read about this tall boy makeover here.
They were both this orange pine colour and in need of some sprucing up which is what I Restore Stuff is all about!
A Tale of Two Tall Boys – Number Two
Here’s how the second tall boy turned out …
For this makeover, I stencilled a drawer stencil onto each of the drawers before painting, using Fusion Smooth Embossing Paste.
It is so easy to use, and you can mix it with Fusion colours to create a beautiful pearl raised texture on your painted surface.
This time, however, I used it straight onto our wood drawers with the stencil BEFORE painting them.
I recently filmed a video of this whole process, added below this image.
Here’s the finished piece:

Products I Used in this Makeover:
- Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint – Colour, Arabesque (approx 230gm bag for 3 coats)
- Flat paint brush
- White Wax (50gm)
- Drawer Stencil
- Fusion Smooth Embossing Paste
- Sandpaper Grit 120 & 400
