This decoupage plant pot is an easy upcycle, so if you have one lying around the house, why not give this a try.
Materials used in this tutorial:
- bamboo plant pot
- Artisan Chalk Finish, colour – Creme Brulee
- Decoupage papers by Raggedy Bits.
- Artisan Flat Matte Sealer
- any paint brush for application of decoupage.
I created a video below to show you more clearly how I used Artisan’s Flat Matte Sealer to use as a decoupage medium. If you’ve only used the sealer as a sealer, then let me introduce another creative idea for its use.
A quick shout out to my fellow creative DIY-er & friend, Sam, from Raggedy Bits, who recently launched her range of pretty decoupage papers (click the link in my supply list above to visit her blog and see the rest of her range of papers). Sam sent me these three designs from her range to use in some of my projects:
Decoupage a Plant Pot:
I start the video out having already painted the bamboo plant pot with Artisan’s Natural Chalk Finish in the colour Creme Brulee, which matched in nicely with the decoupage paper that I chose from the one’s I received from Raggedy Bits.
After watching the video, feel free to leave a comment below this blog post if you have any questions, but also tell me what would you use decoupage on that you already have in YOUR home?
